Aura Ink: A Cloud-Connected E-Paper Photo Frame
Battery-powered wall placement and remote family sharing, with a slower, photo-only display rhythm.
Aura Ink combines a color e-paper display with the Aura family-sharing service. It is designed for a framed-photo rhythm rather than an active slideshow: Aura specifies photos only, a maximum of 12 changes per day and an internet connection at all times. Battery-powered placement does not make it an offline frame.
Quick answer
- Aura Ink keeps remote sharing while replacing the LCD viewing style with color e-paper.
- No videos or Live Photos; no more than 12 photo changes per day.
- An integrated front light helps in dimmer rooms. The battery is not user-removable or serviceable.

What we verified
US product page and Aura Help Center checked October 17, 2026. Checked October 17, 2026
Cordless placement, connected sharing
Ink suits a family that wants a framed print on the wall while relatives contribute through Aura. Keep the Wi-Fi and cloud requirement distinct from the freedom to place the frame away from a permanent power cable.
- Use LCD for video or a more active album.
- Use a local-transfer frame instead when Wi-Fi-free operation is the priority.
Lighting and battery are part of the model choice
Ink includes front lighting; not every e-paper frame does. Update frequency and lighting affect time between charges, so the advertised battery interval is not a promise for every household.
- Plan for occasional charging.
- Read the support instructions for battery care and replacement support.
